THE TENDER WRECKING BALL

Evil can become an infection. Unseen but deadly.

The local church had a Praise and Worship team with Jake the drummer beating out a rhythm to the gospel music. George Blair (an anonymous name) had been called to speak to the congregation. After the group finished their number, the drummer came over to talk with George.

Something was happening that is occurring across the country. Evil is attacking churches as viciously as every other institution and the infection is spreading. Believers often consider themselves exempted. That can be a tragic mistake. The demonic continue full force and must be taken seriously. As insidious as it sounds, the war is on. Here’s an example.

Jake approached George about a personal problem. Hesitantly, he related how his wife Sarah had become cold and not interested in him anymore. Jake couldn’t understand what was going on and was deeply troubled. He asked George to help and pray with him. Without saying anything more, George started investigating.

Later in the day Sarah walked in and George was stopped in his tracks. Dressed completely in a black Gothic skin tight long dress with a slightly flared sleeves, she walked over to the praise team and cruised around each person, winking and grinning. George watched her suggestive swagger and recognized some not yet defined behavior was going on. Sarah had definitely become a destructive force. Following Jake’s suggestion, George struck up a conversation with the woman, telling her one of the reasons that he was there to pray with the praise team. Cornering Sarah, he strongly urged her to pray with him. Before she could resist, he began and was surprised that the woman began to resist by slipping into a trance. Exploring further, George discovered that Sarah had been having a sexual affair with every member of the Praise and Worship team! She had been using “sex magic” to gain entry into their lives. These vulnerable musicians had been seducedby this woman!

George immediately confronted each band member and prayed with them for release, forgiveness, and cleansing. During these deliverance prayers, the group found release from multiple spirits and recovered. As the team was restored, Sarah became quite angry and left the church as well as Jake. Broken hearted, he watched her disappear,

Sound bizarre? Like something from a horror movie? Sure. But this encounter happened. We are living in a time when strange things are occurring everywhere. You must arm yourself to resist. The book of Ephesians tells us to be strong in the Lord and his mighty power. We must put on the full armor of God. (Ephesians 6:10) That’s how you resist the infection. Don’t wait. The attack is on.
