MIRACLES NEVER CEASE!
Rev. Robert L. Wise, Ph.D. explores the world of divine interventions from an objective point of view. An Archbishop in the Communion of Evangelical Episcopal Church with a Ph.D., Rev. Wise relates his interviews with persons who experienced the touch of God.
TALKING TO ANGELS
During my interviews with people who encountered miracles, one of the most interesting people I’ve gotten to know is Inanna Draper. From a childhood experience, Inanna encountered an angel who promised to guide and protect her. As she became an adult, Inanna developed contact with angels and invited them to be her constant friends. People like this remarkable woman can help us develop our own sense of communication and contact with angels. She has taught me a great deal.
Even though her husband doesn’t understand Inanna’s walk with angels, he recognizes what she does is real and comes through her soul. The reason why so many people have no idea about experiencing angels is they don’t believe such is possible and they have lost touch with their own souls. The soul is where angelic contact begins and communication becomes possible. For so many, we are so involved with the temporal, we miss the eternal.
Many times hurting people don’t realize they have a fractured soul. Betrayal, loss of a loved one, personal failure, issues that cut to the quick fracture the soul. In such instances, they need internal eternal healing to close the wound. Bitterness and anger can sink so deeply into our soul that reception is blocked. Inner healing is needed to close the wound in our soul. Usually, we need to find someone who can pray for this problem. The angels stay close and don’t leave when a soul is fractured, but wait for restoration.
Inanna discovered that the pictures of sweet little cherubs is hardly what angels look like. They are massive and make us realize how small we are. Their faces reflect the unconditional love of the heavenly Father. While each face is distinct, their features reflect love. From both the experience of myself as well as Inanna, angels have the ability to appear to us in human form as if they put on a disguise or a costume. They can appear in any shape or form, such as a nurse or a rancher helping someone stuck in a ditch. After they have performed the service, they simply disappear.
Ever have a totally unsuspected thought or idea pop in your head? The sudden notion is an inspired answer to a problem or a need. What if you stopped and asked, “Are you there? What is your name?” You might be shocked by what comes back in your thinking. Possibly a name or a response. Lock on to such moments. They could be the beginning of a new relationship with your guardian angel. Be sure and ask, “Do you affirm Jesus as the Christ? Did you come from the heavenly Father? If you don’t get positive answers, immediately shut it down. On the other hand, if an angelic being is for real, you’ve started on what may become one of the most important journey in your life!
Remember St. Paul’s experience. “For there stood by me this night, an angel of God to whom I belong and whom I serve, “Saying, ‘Do not be afraid.’ The same angel is still around and concerned for your well-being. Don’t hesitate to reach out. He’s there!
