MIRACLES NEVER CEASE!
Rev. Robert L. Wise, Ph.D. explores the world of divine interventions from an objective point of view. An Archbishop in the Communion of Evangelical Episcopal Church with a Ph.D., Rev. Wise relates his interviews with persons who experienced the touch of God.
TALKING TO ANGELS
In the previous session, I wrote about Inanna Draper’s childhood encounter with an angel who promised to guide and protect her. Inanna developed contact with angels and invited them to be her constant friends. She helped me develop my own sense of communication and contact with angels.
From Inanna’s experience has grown a ministry that also imparts insight and encouragement for us. She learned to use prayer and her thinking processes to hear the angelic voices offer guidance and direction. While this sounds unusual, actually it is a possibility open to Christian believers. Most people simply don’t realize what they are missing.
Here’s an example of what can happen.
Alice Smith (name changed for anonymity sake) had been raised in the Roman Catholic Church but withdrew because she felt women should be full participants. She was left with skepticism about organized religion. Later she developed a condition called Tardive Dystonia. The highly painful illness pulled her head to one side, caused a loss of control over her neck muscles, and made her spine bulge. Because no one seemed to have any cure, she was faced with a life long condition.
When Alice came, Inanna explained that she talked to angels and would do so about this condition. Alice was stretched out on a table and Inanna began praying and running her hands over the woman’s body. When Inanna came to her neck, the woman abruptly began having seizures. Alice felt like she was drifting outside of herself, out of her body. The room filled with energy as Inanna kept praying. Alice was dazed and had to have help standing up.
For the first time in a long, long time, Alice’s legs would bend, and she could touch her back. The pain was gone. Her life was restored. The next day she felt even better. As her progress continued, Alice was able get off all pain medications and today all symptoms have disappeared.
One of the lessons in Alice’s experience is that angelic guidance takes its own path that cannot be predetermined (just enjoyed) and may surprise us. When we’ve run out of answers, heaven always has another one we might not expect. Because Inanna is a sensitive person and cares about hurting people, her orientation offers a clue. Helping others prepares one to become a conduit for angelic guidance.
Remember again St. Paul’s experience. “For there stood by me this night, an angel of God to whom I belong and whom I serve, “Saying, ‘Do not be afraid.’” (Acts 27:23-25) The same angel is still around and concerned for your well-being. Don’t hesitate to reach out and learn to listen. He’s there!
