MIRACLES NEVER CEASE!

THERE WAS NO HOPE UNTIL …
Why do some people experience a miracle and others don’t? I have no answer except that people often try to manipulate their heavenly Father with constant prayers, promises to believe if He responds, promises to be a better person, etc. which often ends with them deciding not to believe at all.
Here’s an example of trust with no manipulation.
Art Pope was that kind of guy. Working in the construction business, he put unusual stress and strain on his knees. When the pain finally became unbearable, he went to a physician in Cloverdale, California. The x-ray did not have good news. “It’s going to be necessary to rebuild your knee with pins.” The result? Art would be off work for five to six months after surgery. With five children, such a period of recuperation would be another disaster.
The surgeon told Art that his knee cap was like fragments of an eggshell. When he turned his knee in a certain direction, the pieces would hit a nerve. The complete medical picture would frighten anyone.
His father Arthur Pope held prayer meetings in their family garage. While he was suffering on a couch, Arthur Pope came in and asked Art if the he’d like the group to pray for him. “Sure!”
Art had learned not to doubt. As the group stood around him, he prayed, “Lord, I want Your will.”
The group laid on hands and prayed. Art felt a tingling in his knee. He knew something was happening. Afterward he started bending his knee and finally took the Ace bandages off. Art couldn’t believe it, but he felt no pain. After walking around the room several times, he shouted, “I thank God that he healed me!”
Later, Art realized how important it had been “to pray with belief.” To prove that he was living by his faith, the next day Art returned to work and helped carry and stack 150 double-package sheets of sheet rock without pain! How could anyone doubt his healing? God had given him a new knee.
But that wasn’t all. Years after Art’s healing, his son Kimble became a pastor of a church in Bakersfield. He heard his son say, “No one can ever convince me that God is not real because I saw Him heal my father.”
Rejecting doubt and acceptance by faith proved to have far reaching consequences. And what about you? Zero in on the truth that your Heavenly Father responds to trust. Hold tight. Believe. Trust.
Remember miracles never cease.
